TOOLS
Spectrum Strategies employs several proprietary tools designed to systematize and streamline the planning and management activities we assume for our clients. In some cases, the tools actually remain in our clients’ hands for use long after we complete our assignment.
These proprietary tools include:

Hub™ is a Project Management service; a web-based application to facilitate the management of complex projects in a simple manner. A collaboration tool, Hub™ is where information is routed, shared, and acted upon in real-time. Hub™ is secure, inclusive to all team members, encourages project responsibility, has a robust document viewer, and requires only a Microsoft web browser for complete functionality. Team members login using their email address and password, and are taken to a project portal with links to all projects the team member has access to. Clicking on one of the links the user is taken to a specific project’s homepage, which displays all items pertinent to their responsibilities. Each project homepage includes Project Scope, News Items, Open Issues and Tasks) and a Project Calendar. From their project homepage, users can explore the other components of Hub™ including:

iGAP™ provides an interactive visual framework for testing and validating programming and design concepts. The iGAP™ Methodology has grown out of Spectrum Strategies’ commitment to the integration of people, process, and place, and from the belief that the most powerful tool that a planning professional can have is the ability to communicate effectively. The iGAP™ methodology utilizes the visual language of graphics and enables the project team to visualize the relationships between components: the relative size of components, the desired traffic patterns and adjacencies between components, and other special requirements defined in the program. It facilitates rapid evaluation of alternatives, leading to better decisions, made with confidence. Spectrum Strategies has used this tool at all levels of planning, regardless of the scope and complexity of the program. iGAP™ facilitates quick decisions of major importance in planning facilities. It saves project time, and that means dollars. iGAP™ can analyze the organizational components of a multiple site development comprised of multiple building units and complex traffic patterns, and can just as easily show a prospective tenant how to best organize a floor in a new high rise tower without the complexity of detailed floor plans. |

The Spectrum Strategies Utilization Performance Model (UPM) evaluates the four primary components that impact the overall use of space and facilities. The methodology establishes criteria for developing planning scenarios aimed at improving utilization, thus improving organizational efficiency and performance. The UPM evaluates the quantity of space, the physical quality of the environment, functional adjacencies, and operational efficiency - integrating user requirements and organizational goals with each component. The UPM sets the framework for long-range planning and space management. It is a consensus building process that actively involves stakeholders in the overall utilization and planning of physical resources, and provides the organization with strategic guidelines for evaluating space allocation. Spectrum Strategies understands that all organizations are different. The UPM is flexible, enabling it to be adapted to a diverse group of organizations and facilities. |

Facet™ is a robust space management application designed to address your Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) needs. CAFM in its simplest form is accurate facility data linked to digital floor plans. FacetLink™ utilizes a unique method for inter-connecting facility CAD documentation with any ODBC compliant database software. Building on this linked data, we have developed the core of FacetServer™, which is a web-based application to graphically manage and publish your facility data to users with a web browser and Internet access. We can link this application / database with many other applications, such as those that support scheduling, financial management, low-voltage building control systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage routine, programmed and preventive maintenance, work order management, strategic planning and capital renewal (deferred maintenance) programs. With our integrated approach to CAFM / CMMS, facility managers can make important data easily available to select users. This allows administrators, department directors, facility engineers, and others to better understand the facility resources they utilize. Facet™ requires no expensive per seat licenses for its data publishing interface, and only minimal training. Protocols can be established to limit access from read-only purposes to full access to manage, modify, or update the drawings and database. We develop a set of predefined report formats to meet your criteria, and we will always be available to meet your changing needs for facility asset / resource management information. |
